The maps for the last chapter of the 1985 saga are taking form....Some details are still missing and exact colors are still to be defined, but you should get the idea :)
The operational maps will cover from USSR - Iran Border to Hormuz Strait, and from Baghdad to Eastern Iran. The strategic map will include every other strategic area, from Afghanistan to Turkey NATO bases and Diego Garcia.
Here's a first preview of the USSR - Iran border sector, including Tehran:

And in case you've missed it, here's the box art!
superb. Fan boi # 11.
ReplyDeleteThanks! BTW, the box will be our first with an horizontal layout....the picture was simply too beautiful for cropping it in a "standard" vertical box!
DeleteNice touch.
DeleteLast chapter...... when will the first two chapters be reprinted?
ReplyDeleteWe'll probably have a 1985DNL reprint somewhere in 2021 :)
DeleteI don't like 'probably';-)
DeleteIs there a list being made already for people who want the game? If so, put me on it!
ReplyDeleteYep we have a list...to enroll, send an email to info@trlgames.com!
DeleteNo Mediterranean Sea? OK.... Looks like you will retain the naval aspect. That is great, I love it in DNL.
ReplyDeletePLEASE KEEP the map colors so that we can differentiate between terrain types, unlike DNL - Artic Clear/Clear, etc. The ones above here look good.

Copy that, Joe!

ReplyDeleteCiao Fabrizio !
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing fine up there in Europe. Adding to the other colleague´s comments, I would dare to suggest to keep the "Portrait" orientation in the box, so they can look extra-cool all 3 together.
By the way: “final instalment”? … JA … NO WAY ! We ALL know there will be a final-final instalment, in the form of a upgraded, down-to-single-warhead accurate, 1985 historically correct, mega-death toll counter, version of First Strike:

Deep in your heart, you know it is the only way to end this madness!
All the best from South America.

Ahahah!! I fear you're right, Carlos!
DeleteHello Fabrizio,
ReplyDeleteWill you be using 'Kickstarter' for this project, or your usual 'list' if interested people?
Cheers
Glenn
I hate kickstarters :)
DeleteWe will move with the usual "reserved copies" list :)
