Fabrizio, I love the name, but it does not align with your subject matter. The entire point of the Hof Gap was that it was clear terrain. The "woods" had all been felled. See:

Not according to the 1991 US military maps I've used. Some areas are clear, but the vast majority of the area covered by the "In a Dark Wood" map is heavily wooded.
ReplyDeleteAlso, refer to the previous post showing the whole map. There's actually a lot of woods around Hof, even though less than in other areas.
