************ FLASH ************ Soviet troops landed near Copenhagen

According to Danish General Command, this morning at 05:00 CET NATO radar network identified 60+ MI-6 helicopters approaching Zealand island from SouthEast.

The intruders disappeared from radars 50 miles from the Danish coast. Subsequent communications from territorial militia and resident civilians reported the presence of Soviet airmobile forces 20 miles from Copenhagen.

  1. Did the Danes surrender? Or will they fight?

    1. Not for now, but the rules gives 3 possibilities:
      1. the first time a WP land unit enters Denmark (Danes decided to fight on)
      2. the first time a WP land unit conquers an hex of Copnehagen
      3. the first time a WP land unit is on Zealand island for a full turn without losing steps or retreating

  4. I recall there are specific rules--don't you have to roll when Copenhagen is captured? It's like a 1-4 surrender; 5-6 fight on or something like that.

I know for the Netherlands I changed the rules so that it had to be a Soviet ground unit entering NL, not paratroopers. An airborne/amphib of Denmark is a different issue, I think.
